I got my first job as an LMSW at Community Bridges in their crisis center. I loved this job more than anyone has ever loved it! I was working with people fresh off the streets, acutely mentally unstable, and clients that were currently high on we often didn’t know what. After about a year, I became a supervisor of 2 psychiatric stabilization units, 2 detox centers and 2 mobile crisis units. This job taught me so much regarding insurance authorization processes, overseeing multiple facilities, and burnout! I left this job to pursue my independent licensure and went to Aurora Behavioral Health. I worked in the inpatient psychiatric hospital for a year, then outpatient for a year, where I facilitated IOP and PHP. It was an uncomfortable process to overcome imposter syndrome and feel like a competent therapist for the first time, but the lessons I learned from supervisors, peers, clients and clinical supervision was invaluable! From there I was offered a job as a Clinical Director at Evolution Way, a residential treatment center for substance abuse and mental health. I loved being the leader of a facility that had incredible therapist and leadership that created one of the most impactful, healing spaces for client’s to overcome challenges. After I gave birth to my son, I stepped-down from my leadership role, where I developed and facilitated a family therapy program. The facility closed and when they did we were all left broken hearted and in search of new opportunities!
Since then, I started this private practice. I am also the Clinical Director at Native American Recovery Center in Phoenix, AZ where I provide individual counseling to clients and oversee the clinical program.
I am trained and experienced in EMDR and use it often in my private practice and in residential therapy.
If I seem like I would be a good fit to provide you with Clinical Supervision, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
